Where the fishes lie

“I was on the edge of my seat as I read this script. You built suspense skillfully with the focus on sounds, which contrasted strongly with Lorenzo's silence. I liked the way he rarely spoke, and how Josip talked to fill the silence. The van was very unsettling - I liked the way the inside was pristine, and secure. I was stunned by the ending of the screenplay. This was a very clever, well written screenplay. Excellent job.”
“I enjoyed the elegant establishing shot of dinner contrasted against the grim interior of the fish factory. I also appreciated the contrast in personalities between Josip (rambling but genuine) and Lorenzo (quiet but cautious) in what seems to be an unlikely friendship. I also enjoyed the imagery and atmosphere throughout the piece (elegant dining, dreary fish factory, grungy car with a clean interior, a simple but clean apartment, a rain-soaked city).”
“Lorenzo's reserved demeanor and secret fastidiousness created a mysterious tone. His obvious knife skills and rather strange tenderness toward his knives gave him a creepy, almost serial killer vibe. This story creates an unnerving, almost haunting feel for the reader.”
